CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education

This CACHE Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education (VRQ) course offers an in-depth overview of the challenges and rewards of working with young people.

Course Content of CACHE Level 3 Diploma

This course is designed to guide students through research and study on two main topics related to the care of children. 

The first topic focuses on child development from conception to seven years. Students will explore theories, data, and experiences related to physical, cognitive, language, emotional, and social growth in different aged children from birth up to the age of 7 in nursery and primary schools. 

They will also look at important theorists who have had an influence in the field of development for children as well as pertinent methods for researching and interpreting data.

The second topic is care for Children’s Health and Wellbeing. This mandatory unit starts off by examining different aspects of wellness such as nutritional requirements and safe environments for children and goes further into specific health issues that affect children including abnormal functioning in biological systems, mental illness difficulties, common medical problems during childhood, disorders specifically associated with childhood years, hygiene, nutritional requirements, and oral healthcare practice.

It provides knowledge on how a current understanding of child health can help professionals create better interventions for individuals while taking into account cultural/societal variables. 

From this unit, students will have gained an understanding of a range of preventative strategies available to promote child wellbeing and overall improved health outcomes for children.

Who Can Study CACHE Level 3 Diploma?

This course is designed for individuals who are passionate about learning mathematics and would like to pursue career advancement in the field. 

Entry requirement for this course is 4 GCSEs at Grade 4/5 including English Language and Maths. 

Those with other relevant Level 2 qualifications along with English and Maths may also be considered subject to a satisfactory reference and interview.

During the admissions process, prospective candidates will have to participate in an initial DBS check, attend an interview, and provide satisfactory references before enrolling in the course.

The course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of advanced Mathematical theories and techniques.

On the other hand, if one needs more time to consolidate their knowledge and wishes to be well-prepared before a job search or taking up further studies, then a 12 Month programme would make more sense.

Entry Requirements for CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education

Enrolments are available throughout the year and those older than 16 years of age can join. You will be taught the full level 3 Award syllabus once you are enrolled.
